I started by giving the website a new logo signature design inspired by the marques of the 1950’s era. The bold and strong logo has the rainbow flag in it’s center with the company name in a distinctive font; it glows to help it stand out. The tagline, “San Francisco’s 1st Legacy Business Tour Company since 1989”, reminds visitors that Kathy’s business is a trusted one that has endured the test of time in providing historic and educational fun tours of the LGBTQ Community in the Castro.
The homepage now properly brands the business with easy navigation at the top to get to all sections of the website. It has the “Book Now” button as well on all pages as a reminder for visitors to the website. Prominent awards are featured and reviews of CCWT from Trip Advisor is just a click away. A simple introduction helps anyone understand her inspiration for doing what Kathy does to inform and excite people about this unique San Francisco community.
The tours page clearly breaks down the types of tours Kathy has to offer. The Calendar page enables visitors to pick a date and easily book a tour and pay for it. The website also has a gallery page to show the colorful side of the Castro and temps potential new clients to book a tour. There is also a local resource page, Kathy’s LGBTQ Blog, and an About Us page so others can read more about Kathy.
Kathy Amendola really likes the new website and I am happy that the collaborative effort made it more enticing for visitors to book her tours.
